Meet Jana Jackson

Jana Jackson is a certified menopausal practitioner who specializes in the treatment of both men and women who are experiencing symptoms of menopause or andropause. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Nursing in 2008 from the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) and received her Family Practice Nurse Practitioner degree from UAH in 2018. She has worked in family medicine since 2019.

She has experience treating fibromyalgia (Central Sensitization Syndrome) patients and uses an integrated approach to improving her patient’s quality of life. She is currently pursuing her research interest in uncovering the underlying mechanisms of fibromyalgia, with preliminary findings pointing towards a neuro-endocrine withdraw syndrome as a causative mechanism.

Jana is a married mother of four and enjoys family time, long walks in the woods, and maintains a long-standing interest in the beauty of the natural world. She is also an artist and a writer in her free time. She looks forward to helping restore quality of life to men and women suffering with hormone deficiency and fibromyalgia.

Our Practice

Hormone Health and Fibromyalgia Specialist of Alabama opened its doors in 2025 after we saw an unmet need for providers that specialize in caring for men and women undergoing hormone changes. We noticed that there was a lack of awareness of the impact of hormone deficiency in the medical community, even amongst those that specialize in women’s health. We saw that patients were often told that their symptoms were all in their head or were given medications to treat symptoms without thoroughly investigating the underlying causes. Some patients were left debilitated with no answers to their declining health.

Our journey started when our founder encountered her own struggles with perimenopause and fibromyalgia, and despite visiting four separate medical specialties was unable to find any help. She went on a learning journey, educating herself, and finally finding relief for her symptoms. To better help others find the same relief, she became a certified menopause practitioner.

Our goal is to provide care which is based on the most up-to-date research regarding men’s and women’s health, and to keep the cost of hormone replacement affordable and accessible. We use commercially available products, most of which are paid for by insurance, and are available at your local pharmacy. We are in network with some insurances and will submit your insurance claims for you. If your insurance does not offer re-imbursement or is out of network, we offer reasonable out of pocket rates. Telemed is also available for your convenience. Using a holistic and integrated approach, we look forward to helping you feel your best!
